Why we like him:
Every year or so there is a new face that pops up on the rap music scene and makes everyone pay attention. 2 Chainz has been that guy since he’s popped up on features with most of today’s favorite rappers including Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Wale and even Kanye West’s new single “Mercy”. If you don’t know him for any of those features, you may have heard his own single “Spend It” featuring T.I. …he’s the rapper shouting “similaaaaac”! Yes, like the baby food. Hey, you don’t have to be a genius rapper to get buzz.
2 Chainz is originally from College Park, Georgia and actually attended Alabama State University where he played basketball. He was previously signed to Disturbing tha Peace and is part of the group Playaz Circle.
