H&M has already experienced success with a venture of this caliber when it paired with exclusive high end brand Versace last year.

This trend of taking an already established high end fashion label and lining it up with the more affordable labels has started to spread like wild fire i.e Jason Wu partnering with Target (Target in the words of Fashion Model legend Tyra Banks). The point of these high fashion brand & every-day store collaboration is to extend accessibility of high end brands to those with shallow pockets.
Are we excited…..NO!!
H&M is the focus of this week’s exposé series because they would rather partner with high end labels than add a few more inches to their pieces. This very popular label is trendy, fashion forward and fun. We (the REPUBLIC) find it a bit unfair that they can’t make a special “Tall & Fly Lounge” that specifically offers sizes bigger then a 32 x 32 or XS.
